A
dinner to recognize current space scholar awardees, their
parents, Scholarship Committee members and former space
scholars was held Wednesday evening, April 5, 2000, at the
Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. This
event helped to strengthen the institutional commitment
of affiliate members who participate on the Scholarship

NASA/Goddard 2000 Summer Space Academy
Cara Libby, a Johns Hopkins University engineering undergraduate
student, was funded to attend this year's Academy at Goddard.
Dr. Gerald Soffen, Director of University Programs wrote,
"Cara was an integral member of the Academy this year at
Goddard. She was highly regarded by her PI, and became a
fully integrated member of the research team. She was interested
in everything we did outside of the lab, and was always
eager for more."
