MSGC
provides research support for Institutions, teachers, and
students. Some examples are listed below.
Research
activities which involve more than one member institution,
students, and/or females and underrepresented minorities
are encouraged by MSGC. Examples of funded research include
two Johns Hopkins University students and one student from
Pennsylvania State University who were involved with space
biomedicine; engineering students from Johns Hopkins and
Morgan State University who were part of a team designing
a 16-meter UV-visible-IR telescope to be used at a permanent
lunar outpost; and an undergraduate student from Morgan
State University who analyzed images of a galaxy's planetary
nebulae under direction of a Hopkins Professor.
